Quality Interactions was founded by Joseph Betancourt, MD, MPH, Alexander Green, MD, MPH, and Emilio Carrillo, MD, MPH, to improve cross-cultural interactions in healthcare.
Their pioneering research in cultural competency was put into practice through an initial eLearning program in 2003, which has grown to include over 25 online courses and comprehensive service packages.

Michele leads strategic growth and development of Quality Interactions, and guides daily operations within the company. Michele has over 25 years of experience in leading, managing, and providing strategic direction to corporate, philanthropic, and nonprofit organizations.
Joe is the Vice President and Chief Equity and Inclusion Officerfounder and director of the Disparities Solutions Center, Senior Scientist at the Mongan Institute for Health Policy Center at Massachusetts General Hospital, an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and a practicing Internal Medicine physician.
Alex is Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and Senior Investigator in the Division of General Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. He splits his practice between Massachusetts and Puerto Rico.
Emilio is senior faculty at the Disparities Solutions Center, Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the Weill Cornell Medical College, and Clinical Associate Professor of Epidemiology and Health Services Research at the Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences.
Andres builds and manages client relationships and business strategies, and oversees program renewal for current clients. Andres holds a Masters in General Management from Harvard University. He is fluent in Spanish.
Megan leads the development and marketing of Quality Interactions' educational content. She holds an MFA in creative writing from Emerson College.
Kim ensures that clients receive high-quality service by overseeing technical procedures that include deployment, data collection, and reporting.
Gabe oversees information technology to provide best-in-class eLearning experiences for a diverse range of clients with individual needs. In his spare time, Gabe enjoys building motorcycles and mountain bikes, reading, and illustrating.
