Live Learning Event: Tuesday, February 6, 2018 | 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. EST
Join us for an online discussion of unconscious bias in healthcare with Quality Interactions Co-Founder, Dr. Joseph Betancourt. We’ll look at the neurocognitive basis for unconscious bias, what makes healthcare providers susceptible to stereotyping, and how biases lead to disparities in care. The session will close with concrete strategies to encourage unbiased decision-making in healthcare, and a facilitated Q&A.
In addition to co-founding Quality Interactions, Dr. Joseph R. Betancourt is Director of The Disparities Solutions Center at Massachusetts General Hospital, Senior Scientist at the Mongan Institute for Health Policy Center, Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and a practicing internal medicine physician.
